COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Introduction to Microprocessors and Microcomputers, Software Architecture of the 8088 and 8086 Microprocessors, Instruction Set, Machine Codes, and Addressing Modes, The DEBUG Program, 8088/8086 Microprocessor Programming, Assembly Language Program Development with MASM.

GRADING ELEMENTS:

Chat Sessions = 10%    A   = 93%- 100%
Assignments = 20%    A-  = 89%- 92%
Progress Reports = 10%    B+ = 86%- 88%
Tests (2) = 30%    B   = 82%- 85%
Final Examination = 30%    B-  = 78%- 81%
   C+ = 75%- 77%
       C   = 72%- 74%
       C-  = 68%- 71%
       D+ = 65%- 67%
       D   = 61%- 64%
       D-  = 58%- 60%
       F    = Below 58%

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND NOTES: To avoid a failing grade (F), your overall average must be greater than 58% and your average for all tests and final exam must be greater than 55%.
