My Brother's Machines

My brother got the pinball bug after he began playing my machines.  While he only has 3 of them at his house, it's still fun to play them since he has a wide variety of play types and manufacturers.

Williams Funfest

The Funfest was Greg's first machine.  He got it off of Ebay for $318 from a dealer in McClure, Ohio.  It's in pretty good shape and has been the most constant performer.  The game plays really fast and is quite entertaining.  The extra "swing reel" advances each time you land the ball in the upper kickout hole and awards a free ball when you advance to a reel score of three.  The swinging target scores the random bonus shown on the field.  There is a pop-up post, a right lane gate and a kicker, so sometimes you literally cannot lose the ball.  It's a fast and fun game to play and easy to turn over.

Gottlieb Super Soccer- Sold

Greg and I rescued this machine from certain death from his brother-in-law's, in-law's barn.   The barn was being cleaned out and the dumpster was there ready to take this one to the dump within the next few days.  The machine was in pretty rough shape with lots of rust and peeling paint since it lived in the barn for several years.  Greg did a great job cleaning it up and it doesn't look half bad now.  It still has a few bugs that we can't get worked out.  The Super Soccer has an animated backglass in which balls are kicked into for each advance bonus scored.  The balls are then counted out when you collect the bonus.  There are twin spinners and a right side gate to add to the fun.  A fun game to play and it keeps your interest.  In order to get some room in his basement, Greg sold this game to Dr. Scottt and it's up for sale in his store.  See the link to view it.

Bally Freedom-Sold

This pin was really supposed to be mine.  However, I had just made the deal for my Little Joe and Jubilee and didn't have anywhere else to put this one at the time.  Thus, my sister got it for $275 from a guy north of Columbus and picked it up in a drop-off arrangement at Port Clinton.  When she moved to Florida, she gave it to my brother to store with his collection.  The pin is very clean and has a great row of drop targets and a random mystery wheel from which to collect different scoring combinations.  Best of all, it has an over-the-top buzzer which goes off when you pass 100,000.  Another fun game to play.  Greg has since sold this pin for my sister and it's no longer in the collection. A friend of our dad's bought it for his first pin.
